No. I don't bring a signature style — I bring a process.

What comes out of it is not my taste applied to your rooms, but a design direction discovered with you: what you respond to, what belongs to you, what you want to live in. That is why my projects don't look alike, and why you won't find a recognisable Auria Fizz look. What they share is a way of working, not an appearance.

If you are looking for a specific style you have already decided on, there are practices that offer exactly that, and it is a legitimate way to work. It is simply not mine.

The first call is free: 45 minutes online. The better prepared you are — with your questions and any documents you can send beforehand — the more we can get out of our time together.

For smaller projects, that call is often enough for me to prepare a fee proposal.

Larger projects need a closer look. The next step is then a personal meeting and site visit, so I can understand the scope, your vision and what the project needs. It also gives you the opportunity to see whether working together feels right.

The personal meeting and site visit are chargeable. We agree the fee in advance, covering the time and any travel involved. Afterwards I prepare a fee proposal for the project, and if you decide to go ahead, the cost of the meeting and site visit is covered by the project fee.

With your architect. Interior architecture does not replace the architect. The two disciplines work together, and the earlier we start coordinating, the more coherent the result.

My role is to develop and realise the interior: how the spaces function, how they feel, and how they work together. Your architect remains responsible for the architectural work and the building as a whole.

In practice, this means I stay in close contact with the architect and engineers from the first phase, so that key decisions can be checked for feasibility early rather than corrected later.

There is some time involved, especially at the beginning.

Expect several meetings during briefing and the concept phase, some on site, some at your home. Between them, there is time to look at images, react to materials, and think about how you actually want to live. It is not homework, but it does need attention.

Once the direction is set with the design, your involvement drops significantly. Developing the concept further and the detailed planning are mostly my work, with review points where you check and approve what has been developed.

Clients often say the early phase was the part they enjoyed most. It is also the part that decides whether the result feels like theirs.

Yes. Good interior architecture happens in dialogue — every step is reviewed and approved before we move on, online or in person. Your feedback is part of the process, and changes are incorporated as the design develops.

Yes. This is actually the usual way I work. You can commission the interior concept either as a design or including the detailed development, and organise the build yourself, internally or with your own partners.

The concept establishes a clear design direction, including the floor plan, colour and material concept, furnishing ideas, atmosphere and a first cost estimate. The room book, which holds all specifications, is produced only with the detailed development. If you would like me to stay involved during the build and through to completion, this can be arranged as a separate commission.

We define the scope at the beginning, because every project needs something different. Depending on the project, the design can include the overall design direction, floor plan development, concept design, moodboards, colour and material concepts, lighting, acoustics, furnishing, visualisations and detailed planning. The relevant plans, dimensions and specifications are brought together in a room book.

Tender preparation, obtaining quotes, site support and construction coordination are agreed separately.

You receive the services your project actually needs, with the scope and fee agreed in advance.

The planning process usually takes between six and fifteen months, depending on the size and complexity of the project, how quickly decisions are made, and the requirements of the project. I set out a realistic timeframe at the start and agree the individual phases with you.

It depends on the size, use, whether it is a new build or an existing building, and the scope of services you need. A hotel, restaurant, office or home with a complete concept, detailed design and support during the build is naturally priced differently from a consultation or initial concept alone.

After our in-person meeting, I put together a realistic fee proposal based on your project and its requirements. This gives you clarity early on and a solid basis for the planning ahead without surprises later.

By project scope. I work with clearly defined, project-based proposals that list exactly which services are included. Smaller projects or additional work may be billed by time.

You know before the project starts what is included and what it costs.

A first estimate is possible during or after the initial concept, once there is enough detail to put a meaningful figure to the project. This helps you understand the scope and level of finish within your budget.

The overall budget should be settled before detailed planning begins. This gives you greater certainty before moving forward and helps avoid surprises later.

No. What matters is not square metres but whether I can genuinely add something. A single area — a living room, a lobby, a restaurant, a meeting zone — can be worth doing on its own.

On request, I can gather and structure quotes from trades. In Germany and Spain, I can manage this directly. For international projects, I can help you find the right partners for the build and coordinate with them.

Furniture procurement and logistics can also be arranged as a separate service, from placing orders to coordinating delivery.

Yes, and I would encourage it. A room made entirely from new purchases stays polite. What gives it depth are the pieces that already carry something.

I source antiques and art when they belong in the concept, and I work with what you already have — including things you may have written off. A wardrobe from your grandmother, a table that no longer fits the room, a rug you stopped using. Restored, reupholstered, refinished or simply placed differently, these are often the pieces that make a space unmistakably yours.

Bring them out early. What looks like a problem to you is frequently the strongest starting point in the room.

Both are possible. The concept is a complete deliverable in itself. If you want me involved during the build, this can be arranged as a separate commission. Staying involved during execution helps ensure that the design is carried through as intended and that important decisions made during the planning process are not lost along the way.

Yes. I work with specialist craftspeople across Europe who combine traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and techniques. Together, we can develop bespoke elements that are made specifically for the project.

No. Germany and Andalusia are my bases, but I also work internationally. I work with clients on second homes, hospitality and commercial spaces, combining personal meetings and site visits with online coordination depending on the project and its phase.
